What is a “Reflective Citizens” event?

A “Reflective Citizens” event aspires to co-create a reflective space with
and for citizens to enable a free sharing of thoughts, feelings, fantasies,
dreams, drawings and hypotheses. It seeks to open minds to a variety of
discourses and / or paradigms that may emerge. It also seeks to make
visible the uncontrollable unconscious ‘beneath the surface of communities.
It does so through mutually respectful conversations. Reflective Citizens is founded in
the psychoanalytic traditions (psychoanalysis, group analysis, group relations,
therapeutic communities, social dreaming, listening posts, and operative groups).

Who is this event for?

This event is open to all community members. It is enhanced by the participation of
people from a wide range of diverse backgrounds including but not limited to ways of
living, our experiences, our different socio-political histories and narratives, ethnicity,
gender, class, age, occupation, cultures.
