The Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis (WBCP) is now accepting applications for the 2021-2022 Combined Child and Adolescent Fellowship Program and Candidate Seminar.
The Combined Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Fellowship Program and Candidate Seminar is a tuition-free program for trainees and graduates in Psychiatry, Psychology, Clinical Social Work and Professional Counseling who have an interest in clinical work with children and adolescents. The Fellowship Program focuses on the study of psychodynamic/psychoanalytic theory and technique as a body of knowledge and framework, with which to understand and carry out therapeutic work. Fellows will be offered the opportunity to present their child psychotherapy cases to faculty and fellow participants. Fellows can also attend Scientific Meetings and other conferences sponsored by the WBCP at no charge. However, if a Fellow would like to receive CME/CE there will be a fee. The fee varies depending on the program.
In addition, the Candidate Seminar provides an opportunity for all participants to listen to child psychoanalytic case presentations by child candidates in training from the Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis and the Contemporary Freudian Society. Senior child analysts from both training programs will join as discussants. The Combined Child and Adolescent Fellowship Program and Candidate Seminar will be held approximately twice a month on Monday evenings from 7:30-9:00 PM, with an optional mentorship program from 9:00-9:30 pm during the 2021-2022 academic year for a total of 16 sessions. *Optional CME/CE’s for the Child Fellowship are available for a fee.
NOTE: All fall classes will be conducted via Zoom
